Audio Import/Record

Record your audio straight into Audio Notetaker and make live annotations. Alternatively, import audio from your computer or a portable device and go back over your recording in your own time.

 

Visual Audio

Audio Notetaker displays each phrase from your recording as a coloured bar. Now you can see where you are in a recording and skip from phrase to phrase.

 

 

 

Colour coding

Use colour to mark specific phrases in your audio recording. Use colours in ways that are meaningful to you – you may even want to use colour instead of writing down quotes. You can colour sections too.

After, you may want to extract specific colours into a new file. Audio Notetaker makes this easy.

Playback modes – speed up/slow down you audio with no change to the pitch of the voice. Use ‘pause mode’ to manually transcribe your recordings. Audio Notetaker will pause playback after every segment, giving you a chance to catch up with your typing.

Import and link to other documents

Import PowerPoint slides, PDF documents or images to go alongside your audio and text.

You can also create links to other documents on your computer by dragging files into the notes pane.

 

 

Easy organization and search

Audio Notetaker includes an inbuilt filemanager to make searching for your notes files a piece of cake. Search for keywords from with your text, PowerPoint slides or PDF documents using the search bar (Mac) or Find in Files feature (PC).

 

Multiple Export Options – save your text and images as a .rtf file or copy and paste them into a new document. Export selected audio or your entire notes file as an album straight to iTunes. Each section becomes a new track, the speaker becomes the artist, the first line of your notes becomes the track title and the rest of your notes gets embedded as lyrics.

 

How to use Audio Notetaker

 

Audio can be imported from your computer or from another device (such as a digital recorder or phone), or recorded directly into the software using a microphone.

 

This will make it easy to find again later using Audio Notetaker’s file manager.

Review your notes file full-screen, or export it to iTunes to use with your iPod or phone.
