System requirements

Audio Notetaker has been designed to work on the least powerful of machines, so will most likely work with your computer, as long as it is running XP or later including Windows 8. 

The Mac version is good for OS 10.5.8 Leopard and later.

Windows

The latest Version is 3.2.5010.0, released on the 22nd August 2014.

This update includes the following changes:

  • Added support for transferring files from the Sonocent Recorder app for iPhone.

Note that a Windows 7 Update on 12th July 2011 prevented Audio Notetaker 2.4.2144 and earlier from starting up. If this is your first update since then, you may be asked to activate on-line, and you may need to enter your serial number again. If you have activated on two PCs, you should re-activate the later one first. If activation is refused, please email your serial number to support@sonocent.com and we will reset it for you.

Mac

The latest version is Version 2.8.4820.0, released on the 22nd August 2014.

This update includes the following changes:

  • Audio Notetaker for Mac can now open files recorded using the Sonocent Recorder iOS app.
  • Fixed a problem that could occasionally prevent files from being saved if a very short recording (lasting a fraction of a second) is made.
  • Fixed a problem that prevented text from being edited if the Arial font has been deleted.

Version 2.8 includes the following new features:

  • Words are now highlighted in the text panes as they are spoken when using the Mac's built-in text to speech feature.
  • The current speed and volume settings can optionally be used when exporting audio to a file.
  • Coloured sections and chunks can now be extracted either to a new document or an existing open one.

...as well as numerous bug fixes and general improvements.
